FIRE
Creation, hell and purification. Fire is an image of destruction but it can also represent nutrition and regeneration. Heraclitus imagined a burning ether of death and rebirth as the essence of our soul and the cosmos, a similar idea can be found in the Puranas of ancient Hindu religions and in the Apocalypse. Fire symbolize our deepest fears and hopes of transmutation. The evolution from primates to homo sapiens took a new impulse when we learned to dominate fire and we started to pretend to be gods. Dante and Virgilio went through a burning fire on top of the Purgatory in a courageous transformative action. For the alchemists, all things are born in fire and all things return to fire. Creative sparks ignite wood and materialize ideas into concepts. Friction between Yes and No is the essential tension for a fulfilling existence, the fight between impulse and inhibition produces a third force of indestructible power.

Creatiu, infernal i purificador. El foc destrueix però els seus residus són nutritius i regeneradors. Heràclit imaginava un èter ardent de destrucció i renaixement com a base primordial de l’ànima i el cosmos, trobem una idea similar als puranes hindús i a l’Apocalipsi. El foc simbolitza els nostres terrors i les esperances de transmutació. L'evolució de primats a homo sapiens agafa un nou impuls quan aprenem a dominar el foc i juguem a ser déus. Dant i Virgili travessen una foguera per arribar a dalt de tot del Purgatori en un acte de valentia transformador. Pels alquimistes totes les coses neixen del foc i tornen al foc. La fricció fa saltar espurnes creatives que encenen la fusta i materialitzen les idees en conceptes. La lluita entre el Sí i el No és la base del conflicte indispensable per viure en plenitud, la tensió entre l’impuls i la inhibició produeix una tercera força indestructible.
