EGG

Which came first: the chicken or the egg? In many creation myths, the universe was born from an egg that contained all matter. In the Paleolithic period, 12.000 years ago, life’s cycle of regeneration was represented with eggs painted on oval stones. Today, eggs are still symbols of our potentialities. The colorful Easter eggs are an image of nature’s renovation after a long grey winter, Christians used it as symbol of Jesus resurrection. Eggs are the origin, the quintessence, life’s mysterious core surrounded by unconscious forces. For the alchemy, yolk contains an infinitely small dot from where all things come from. A simple fried egg has an immense power when observed with the heart, in order to overcome individualism and greed, we must open our souls over objects, animals and plants.

We won’t be able to move forward if we don’t make a radical shift of orientation by learning to value soul before mind, image before feeling, each before all, imagining before conceiving, thing before meaning, noticing before knowing, rhetoric before truth, animal before human, anima before ego, what and who before why.

L’OU

Què va primer, l’ou o la gallina? En molts mites de la creació, l’univers neix d’un ou que ho conté tot. Hi ha pintures d’ous sobre pedres ovalades del Paleolític, de fa 12.000 anys, que representen els cicles de regeneració vitals. Avui en dia, els ous segueixen sent símbols de la vida en potència. El ritual de la Pasqua representa la renovació de la vegetació amb els ous de colors plens de goig després de l’hivern llarg i gris, el cristianisme va incorporar aquesta tradició pagana per commemorar la resurrecció de Jesús. L’ou és l’inici, el nucli misteriós envoltat de les pulsions de l’inconscient. Per l’alquímia, el rovell de l’ou conté un punt infinitament petit a partir del qual s’origina la vida: la quintaessencia. Un senzill ou ferrat conté una força immensa si l’observem amb el cor, per sobreviure en el segle de l’alienació individualista estem obligats a retornar l’ànima a objectes, plantes i animals.

No podrem avançar fins que no cambiem radicalment de rumb, aprenent a valorar més l’ànima que la ment, la imatge que el sentiment, el singular que l’universal, la imaginació que el pensament, la cosa que el significat, l’observació que el coneixement, la retòrica que la veritat, els animals que els humans, l’esperit que el jo, el què i el qui que el perquè.
